Welcome! I am new here too. My husband is prior-enlisted but is commissioning in the spring of this year! I feel as though I should know more than I actually do, but I have no idea what to expect! I am looking forward to talking on this forum and learning some new things about life on the commissioned side.

obviously like your website but you have to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very bothersome to inform the truth then again I will certainly come again again.

Hey Colleen,

My husband is in his first week of OTS-BOT 12-02....we just got married less than a month ago on August 20th. He has only been gone for a week but it feels so much By now I believe your husband is an "upper classman"....just wanting to learn as much as possible how the next 12 weeks will be for him :) He is a Pilot Trainee and we have no idea where he will go next for flight training. How exciting to already know where you will go and to a place that you have a sentimental attachment too! That is awesome :) Do you get to talk to him more often or less as time goes on in these first few weeks? I have heard that once classes start they will be way too busy to call....anyway any advice is very welcome :)

Welcome :). My DH was in 11-01, it's already been a year but it seems like yesterday.

OTS was actually pretty nice from my side, DH wasn't a fan though lol.

Find stuff to do, keep busy and it'll go by faster. Good Luck!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Colleen and my husband left today for OTS - BOT 12-01 (Still working on the acronyms!). We just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and no kiddos as of yet. I'm originally from Michigan, but living in South Carolina, which is where my hubby is from. I work for a bank as a branch manager and am so thankful for the stability (and distraction) that provides while he is gone.

My husband is a 10OT03 CSO Select and we will be in Pensacola, FL sometime in November after he graduates OTS. Neat little fact, we actually met in college in Pensacola, so I'm pretty stoked about moving back there for his CSO training.

Any advice or words of wisdom you can provide are much appreciated - I look forward to getting to know and learning from y'all!
