AMEN AMEN AMEN. I have this amazing sense of "proudness" for my husband. I am just in awe of what God has done in our lives. It is so nice to see women on here really love their husbands and have so much respect for them. I am looking forward to meeting so many of you when we are finally moved to where ever we'll be. It is refreshing and encouraging. Thanks for the great post.Gwen

Amen to that, Kat! Our men are serving and giving of themselves in ways that not all men do, or are even willing to do.

The Lord has allowed us to go through so many really tough times, and I can't even fathom how I could've gotten through without Him.

I'm in a Beth Moore Bible study (she rocks!)right now and in the video the other night she encouraged us to write a letter to the Lord and tell Him our deepest desires at this season of our lives. Then, we're to give it to Him and ask Him to meet those desires.

I'm sharing this because I know that many of you can relate. It wasn't hard for me to think of a desire - for my husband and the intimacy I miss from him. Emotionally, mostly. I know that the Lord can meet me here and I've been praying that He will be the husband for me, the parent, the friend, while my DH is away. God has proven Himself so faithful, loving and good that I trust He will once again.

Thank you, Lord, for though our circumstances change, you forever remain the same.

Kat,

I truly agree with what you said so beautifully. Every night when I get ready for bed I have my quite time with God and thank him, praise him for everything that he done for my family and I. I also pray for my husband and all the soldiers that are currently stationed in the War Zone, since we know so many personally. As my dh battalion deployed for a 15 mos. deployment before he left for school.

You are so spot on, Kat. God protects and comforts. Heaven knows where I would be if I didn't believe that... My daughter shouldn't be alive, but she is, her twin was never able to experience life, my son is an angel, and after Steve's horrible injuries this year and months in the hospital, we're doing fine.

(BTW- did you get my reply I sent you earlier this week?)

Kat - That was so beautifully said. I decided to copy it and paste and printed it off to look at everyday.

Thanks! Joey

Today I am thankful to God for a husband who is willing to put his life on the line for me and I am so proud of the man my husband is. I wake up every morning and I just pray that God would place His hands of protection around my husband and that He would give him strength and encouragement. I love the days when he is at home with me and sometimes when I wake up before him I put my hand on him and pray that God would be with him. I don't always know where he is or what kind of danger he is in, but I know that God does. I just don't know how anyone could make it through this life without the confidence of knowing their heavenly father is watching over them. I am thankful that I have a God who watches over my family and gives me comfort through days of uncertainty.
