Aloha Ellen,
I just want you to know that I'll be praying for your friend and her boyfriend.
What a blessing it is to have you in their life.

I will certainly be praying for your friend Ellen and her boyfriend. I've never had to deal with a close friend or family member suffering from such an awful disease, but I know that it probably seems as though nothing can ease the pain. We just have to be reminded that it's all in the will of the Lord. Please keep us updated.

I have another prayer request for you all. My friend Ellen has just found out that her boyfriend's leukemia has relapsed. This is the second time it has happened in the two years since his diagnosis, and this time there are no treatment options. The kind of leukemia he has is quite rare, so the doctors aren't sure how long he has to live, but it sounds like probably months if that...and this news came just as they had begun to really hope that they could have a future together. It's truly heart-breaking, and I ask for your prayers for their comfort in the time they have remaining and for Ellen as she considers where her life will go without him.

I just received a call from a old friend and she just informed me that a very old friend of mine from the young years was killed in Iraq on July 11. He was buried yesterday in Raleigh, NC. I don't see how I missed the article in the news paper and the news b/c he was stationed here at Ft. Benning but he is from my home town so it was in Ft. Benning news paper, and Raleigh's newspaper. This is kind of hard to digest right now. Guys please pray for the family of Sgt. Courtney Johnson. May god be with his family as they deal with the lost of such a wonderful father, son, and soldier.

Oh Meredith,
You all are in my prayers. I pray that your DH will be at peace with the response he receives whether he is allowed the leave immediately or has to take time later.

I also pray that his Uncle and Aunt will have comfort and support. I give G-d praise for HIS unfailing love and for bringing what we need near to us when we are in need.

Forever in HIS service,

You are definately in my prayers.. Thats such a horrible thing to go through. Have you tried contacting the Red Cross? They may be able to have more pull in getting him leave if his command doesn't want to... just a though.

I posted a little about this in the 503-07 thread, but wanted to ask all of you to pray for DH's family. A cousin that he was close to was killed in a car accident last night. He was 25 and the only child. We have been able to get through to DH and are hoping the Army will grant him leave to attend the funeral. I didn't know him all that well, but I really liked him. I'm sure any prayers will be appreciated.
